The Creepy Old House Down the Street

One night when Lizz and her brother Clyde were exploring the hills of Westville they stumbled upon a creepy looking mansion.

Clyde said, “ Let’s go inside.”

“ Well let’s not because it’s late and if we aren’t home mom will kill us.” Lizz said.

Well I guess your right but we will come back on Saturday night.” Clyde said.

“Deal!” Lizz said.

So the kids walked home in the dark. When the got home their parents had gone to a party and would be back at 11:00.

“Well I guess we could go back to the mansion if you want.” Lizz said.

“NO!” Clyde shouted. Saturday means Saturday!”

So Lizz waited till Saturday night to go see the abandoned mansion. So on Saturday night she went to get her brother Clyde and he wasn’t in his room. She called his friend Aaron and he said that he was on the way home. About five minutes later and Clyde came home.

“ Nice for you to show up.” Lizz said sarcastically.

“Sorry, I was looking up that house and apparently there used to be two witches and the one named Winnie killed the one named Sarah.

“ How did she kill her?” asked Lizz.

“No one knows said Clyde.” People said that Sarah’s spirit still lives in the mansion. Well I’m tired let’s go to bed.”

“Halt!” Lizz said grabbing Clyde’s arm. “ We are going to that mansion, mister!”

When they arrived at the mansion Clyde didn’t want to go in at all. Lizz tried the door and it was locked.

“Dang they doors locked.” “Clyde go find me a rock.”

Clyde started wandering around and found a graveyard. Clyde didn’t get scared he actually found it quite fascinating. He finally found a green moldy rock and went back to go find Lizz.

Lizz is a very impatient person and does not like to be kept waiting. When Clyde arrived she said,

“ It’s about time what took so long?”

I found a graveyard and did you notice that this place is surrounded by cement not earth?!”

Did you find the stupid rock or not?”

“ I found it!”

“Then give it to me!” Lizz said snatching out of his hands. She then took the rock and smashed it through the large window. Lizz then walked into the dust-laden mansion.

“What do you want to do now?” Lizz asked.

“ Well I guess we could explore.” Clyde answered back.

Lizz and Clyde walked up the large staircase. Lizz went into one and room and Clyde went in the next. Clyde turned the rusty door handle. Inside he found what appeared to be a bedroom. Clyde walked around the room he found some perfume and hairbrush so it had to be a girl’s room. He opened one of the drawers and inside he found a book that looked like it had a name on it but he couldn’t tell.

“ Lizz I think I found something.” Clyde yelled.

Lizz said, “ What did you find?”

“ This book it looks like it has a name on it or something but I can’t read it.”

“ I think I should read it since I am girl.” Lizz said grabbing the book and leaving the room.

Lizz walked down the hall and found a door and she went to open it when it disappeared.

“ Well I guess I will go in this room.” Said Lizz shaking. Lizz crossed the hall and found a small reading room. She then sat and started reading the book.

Clyde meanwhile was wandering around when for something to do when he heard his sister scream. He ran to find the reading room and to she what she was screaming about. When he opened the door he found his sister sitting there reading the book.

“ Why did you scream?”

“ I was reading the book and it says that, I pushed my sister Sarah out the window because she called me ugly. Me! Winifred Sanderson! Ugly! In her dreams!”

“ That sounds like a girl problem to me.”

“ A girl a problem that is a very horrible way to die.”

“ Horrible!” came a screaming voice. “ Yes I suppose that my death was horrible but that doesn’t mean you can be here!”

Above their heads was a pretty looking ghost with a bad temper.

“ Hello my name is Sarah Sanderson the girl in that book also known as my sister’s diary. What might your names be?”

“My name is Clyde and this my sister Lizz.”

“ So which one of you ruined my $5,000 dollar glass window?”

“Tha t was Lizz.” Said Clyde.

“ Lizz you very foolish and for that you will be turned into lasagna!”

So Lizz was turned into a steaming plate of Lasagna.

For you Clyde you shall live your out as a gargoyle made of stone.”

Lizz was turned into lasagna for crashing Sarah’s glass window and Clyde was a gargoyle to ward off evil spirits. Well did Sarah know that she was evil so Clyde forced her out of her house and to never return? As for Lizz an orange tabby cat came into the house and ate her.
