Requirements:

  1. Presentation is to be made to the class and should include the following information.
  2. Tell the date and place where your individual was born and raised. Include if possible details about habits and hobbies that may have helped them come up with the idea for their invention or engineering contributions to the world.
  3. Tell about the work your individual or individuals did. Tell why his/her contribution was important, why the work was important. Did he/she invent something or teach others? How did he/she change the world? What lasting effects did your individual have on the lives of others?
  4. What should we all know about your individual/individuals? How do we benefit today from him/her/they? What do you think was the most impressive thing about your individual?
  5. Tell how your individual/individuals inspired you or not inspire you. In what ways would you like to be him/her?
  6. Include pictures or drawings of your character and their accomplishments.

Suggestions for presentation:

  • Place materials / pictures and information on poster board
  • Label or title your questions and answer to the above question guidelines.
  • Clarity and continuity of thought
    • This means that your ideas are presented in logical order and are easy to understand and find on your poster board.
  • Spelling – Check your spelling before you hand in your report.
  • Neatness – Appearance is important.
  • Your presentation to the class should be approximately 5 minutes +
