If you feel you really need to do the math here is how it is done:

To convert Fahrenheit temperatures into Celsius:

  • Begin by subtracting 32 from the Fahrenheit number.
  • Divide the answer by 9.
  • Then multiply that answer by 5.

Here's an example: Change 86 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius: 86 minus 32 is 54. Then, 54 divided by 9 is 6. Finally, 6 times 5 is 30 degrees Celsius.

To convert Celsius temperatures into Fahrenheit:
  • Begin by multiplying the Celsius temperature by 9.
  • Divide the answer by 5.
  • Now add 32.

Here's an example: Change 10 degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit: 10 times 9 is 90. Then 90 divided by 5 is 18. Finally, 18 plus 32 is 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
